Dear Sir or Madam
In the year 2010 the Members States of the EU submitted their national Renewable Energy Action Plans (REAPs) to the European Commission. They show how the Member States intend to reach their national targets for the share of renewable energy sources. The 4Biomass partners support bioenergy development and deployment in the Central Europe (CE) region as a complementary renewable source to wind, solar and hydro power.
According to a survey carried out by 4Biomass, stakeholders in CE see biomass as the most important resource to reach the targets of the nREAPs. The project results prove that the CE countries have a good or even tremendous biomass potential. Nevertheless, biomass is a regional source and should preferably be deployed in de-centralised systems.
The Leadpartner of the 4Biomass project, the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) is the organiser of the final 4Biomass conference held on 21st and 22nd of March 2012 in Berlin. The FNR cordially invites all interested persons to participate in the Transnational and the Investors’ Forum in the Press- and Visitors’ Centre of the Federal Press Office.
On the first day of conference, the speakers will present their national REAPs. Additionally, implementation measures and possible implementation constraints will be considered. In a panel the need for a coordinated Central European bioenergy policy for reaching the European Union 20-20-20 targets will be discussed.
The second day is dedicated to sustainable bioenergy investments in CE. 4Biomass project partners will present demo projects from Central Europe. During the panel successful ways to support sustainable bioenergy projects will be further discussed by project partners and speakers of the morning.
Conference language will be English. Participation is free of charge. For registration, agenda and other information please visit: www.4Biomass.eu
Kind regards,
